My artwork is a journey through the invisible realm: a dimension where intuition, memories, visions and dreams are free to take visual form. Through my art I revisit concepts that have fascinated me, scared me and intrigued me since I was a child. The results, deceivingly deep, are compositions filled with symbolism and hidden meaning. Topics such as metaphysics, mythology, space exploration, sacred geometry, anthroposophy and quantum physics can often be found in my work, sometimes infused with a dash of retrofuturistic nostalgia and mixed in with the inevitable influence of pop culture that engulfs us.
Therefore it is valid to say that my work relates to my own existence but it also makes part of a greater conscience ...or to be more precise, to the collective unconscious.
A homage to Modernism, vintage motels and secret hideaways in the clouds.
This opening piece is a visual metaphor for transformation. Witnessing a shift of astronomical proportions. The question - is this change happening outside or inside? Could it be a shift in consciousness perhaps? The character, a universal human being relatable to everyone, is standing in a large room (his/her mind) flanked by two large sphinxes (his/her fears) looking into the horizon at our own planet (feeling isolated) observing a transformative phenomenon (the eclipse) which goes from light to dark and then back to light. This phenomenon relates to the character's transformation which we will see in the serie's additional artworks.
